New equipment for the firefighters in Dubrovnik-Neretva Regiion

The Dubrovnik-Neretva county purchased  additional valuable equipment to battle pollution at sea

Almost 140 thousand euros worth of equipment to fight and mitigate pollution at sea, was purchased by the  Dubrovnik-Neretva county through the EU project STREAM, and assigned to several fire brigades in Mljet, Dubrovačko primorje, City of Dubrovnik, and to the Voluntary fire brigade of the municipality of Smokvica in the island of Korčula. The equipment was handed over to the Fire brigades during a ceremony in Slano last April.  The County prefect Nikola Dobroslavić and County Fire Chief Stjepan Simović headed the ceremony. The Prefect emphasized the importance of investing in civil protection operational forces. After the ceremony, the firefighter brigades held a demonstration of the newly acquired equipment for interventions at sea showing just how efficient it really is
