At the fair, it was important for us to address boaters who visit Kornati National Park with their own or rented boats and anchor in the habitats of the seagrass Posidonia oceanica, destroying it. We introduced the SASPAS project to visitors through a short or longer verbal presentation and conversation.
During the presentation at the fair, we placed special emphasis on social media and invited visitors to our booth to follow us on social media. During the exhibition, we displayed posters and flyers in our space announcing a campaign that advocates for an environmentally sustainable way of anchoring.
By participating in the fair, we announced a campaign to encourage boat owners to anchor in areas where there are no endangered seagrass species, (Posidonia oceanica, Cymodocea nodosa). The beginning of the campaign will be marked by a photo exhibition on the campus of the University of Rijeka at the beginning of July this year.
