RELANDART in Ploče: a new step towards landscape regeneration

On 22 and 23 September, the partners of RELANDART – Reviving Natural Disaster-Struck Landscapes through Land Art Routes met in Ploče, Croatia, for the second Cross-Border Project Meeting.
Atlantide, Sol.Co and the Municipality of Ploče came together to review the activities carried out so far, exchange experiences and coordinate the next steps of the project.
After the first months dedicated mainly to mapping, community engagement and planning, RELANDART is now entering a more concrete phase. In the coming months, several activities will take shape, including the development of Land Art installations, as well as workshops, meetings and public events.
The meeting in Ploče represented an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the Italian and Croatian partners and to continue working on a shared vision for the project.
At the heart of this work is the idea of using Land Art as a tool to bring attention back to landscapes affected by natural events, collect and share community memories, and create new ways of discovering and experiencing territories.
The Ploče meeting therefore marked another step in a cross-border journey that connects art, memory, communities and sustainable tourism, with the aim of transforming landscapes affected by natural events into new spaces for storytelling and connection.
