On June 17, 2020 in Benkovac, the Fishermen's Cooperative Omega 3 held an awareness training on sustainable fishery through innovative technologies for its members. The potential new technological solution that is to be piloted by the end August this year would allow fewer trips to the sea, more efficient catch management, with the aim of raising product quality, less physical damage to catches and preserving the natural population of sardines and anchovies in the Adriatic. The Cooperative's members were amazed by this innovative solution, named "sea pumps". The awareness training has provided all the data collected during the last 18 months, explaining the further progress of the project activities as well. It has left a positive impact on the attending audience, which is a good predictor of the hope that dissemination of achieved project results will be accepted among the wider audience as well, which includes the Adriatic fishery sector as an economy branch in general.
