Arianna Soldati graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Ferrara with a master's thesis carried out within the Project PMO-GATE

"My degree thesis, entitled “A multicriteria methodologies for the evaluation of the combined seismic-hydraulic risk of the territory of Ferrara” connects to the European community's policies aimed to contain the natural risks associated with climate change and to develop a sustainable environment as well as risk mitigation strategies.

The seismic and hydraulic risks of the Ferrara area were jointly analyzed using the Visual Promethee multi-criteria software, based on hazard, vulnerability, and exposure, which were inserted as "criteria" for ranking the risk level of each municipality.

This methodology, used for the first time in this kind of analysis, has allowed highlighting the areas of the territory most vulnerable to seismic-hydraulic risk through multirisk maps thus paving the way for future operational priorities."
