Two new scientific papers produced by Consorzio Futuro Ricerca for a cleaner Adriatic sea

Consorzio Futuro Rircerca has published two scientific articles on the studies conducted during the research and experimentation carried out for PEPSEA Project activities aimed at improving the equipment used during accidental pollution incidents in Enclosed Parts of the Sea (EPS).

The first study was published on Molecules (semimonthly online journal of chemistry) and focused on the use of high-silica commercial zeolites as sorbent media for pharmaceuticals in an aqueous matrix. For a more in-depth reading, please refer to the following link.

The second one was published on Science Direct (bibliographic database of journals in the Science, technology and medicine sector) and showed the great potential of the hydrophobic zeolites (with a focus on caffeic acid) during the removal activities of different organic substances. An abstract of the paper is available at the followinf link

Both studies, with an extremely technical and scientific character, have shown excellent possibilities to speed up the process of cleaning the waters of lagoon and maritime areas, getting closer and closer to the achievement of a cleaner Adriatic for the welfare of the all Adriatic community.
