Published on 26/03/2021 (last modified 26/03/2021)

The Puglia Region - Department of  Mobility, Urban Quality, Public Works, Ecology and Landscape - as part of the Marless project, has launched a series of institutional meetings with the representatives of the coastal provincial capitals who have provided their availability (the Municipalities of Bari, Brindisi, Trani and Barletta).

These meetings had the aim of disseminating the contents of the MARLESS project as well as presenting and describing the "pilot project". The Puglia Region, in fact, intends to protect marine waters and coastal areas through the installation of technological tools capable of recovering marine waste (especially plastics and microplastics) involving the coastal municipalities of the eligible area or the provinces of Bari, BAT, Brindisi, Foggia and Lecce. As part of the aforementioned talks, the institutional representatives expressed their interest in the proposed thematic proposal, showing attention and sensitivity to the theme of the environment and marine litter.
