At the invitation of the Representation of the European Commission in Croatia, the Regional Agency DUNEA took part in the Greencajt festival in Zagreb on the panel entitled "There are fewer and fewer fish and more and more tourists - is the balance between biodiversity, fisheries and tourism sustainable?".

Along with Iva Pozniak, senior associate for the preparation and implementation of EU projects for the Regional Agency DUNEA and MARLESS representative, panel participants were Tonino Picula, president of the Intergroup of the European Parliament for Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas, Hana Huzjak, economic advisor at the European Commission, and Draško Holcer , president of the Blue World Institute. The panel was moderated by Tea Blažević from N1 television. On this occasion, the SeaClear and MARLESS projects were presented, as two projects with a similar theme, which use innovative solutions to address the most current environmental problem when we talk about the marine environment - waste in the sea. Greencajt, currently the greenest festival in the region, offered numerous interesting and educational panels, lectures and discussions on sustainability with the aim of raising awareness about the impact of climate change and the changes we can make in our lives. In addition to the panel, the Regional Agency DUNEA accompanied the awarding of the national award for the environment Green Prix, in which the project Green Economy and CO2 (GECO2) was nominated. The project established an innovative interregional system that improves climate change monitoring, introduced experimental eco-friendly agricultural practices, and established a voluntary carbon market in the agricultural sector.

The 2022 Greencajt festival was visited by over 5,000 people, which confirms the fact that it managed to establish itself as the largest sustainability and ecology project in the region. The stakeholders were various, from interested community, local, regional and national, to scientist, politicians, decision makers, artist, chefs, motivational speakers etc.
