The opening of the first room of the Virtual Museum was held on 30th October 2021 in the Fortress of San Leo with the presence of the Mayor of the Municipality of San Leo and the Director of the Authority of the management of Parks and Biodiversity - Romagna.

The implementation of the pilot action will continue until January 2022, when there will be the inauguration of the completed museum itinerary. But already now visitors can experience a part of the museum and leave their impressions and suggestions to partners and designers.

San Leo is the privileged observation point and the main gateway to the inland areas. From its fortress it is possible to enjoy a view over the entire territory that the pilot action wants to enhance.

In order to better define, grasp and convey the links between San Leo and the surrounding territories, the relationship between nature and culture, experts in nature and landscape, history and literature have created the museum itinerary which was then realized by multimedia specialists and screenwriters.

The virtual museum takes the visitor on a journey into the landscape and history of the Romagna hinterland, connecting the natural and cultural heritage in an attractive and surprising way, inviting tourists and citizens to get to know and discover the hinterland.
