MADE IN-LAND Stakeholders workshop in Zadar inland for wrap up and final recommendations for the project strategy

After a well accomplished cooperation with the stakeholders and three sucessfully organized workshops, yet another encounter with the stakeholders took place on 17th of January 2020 in order to continue with the project development. 

Zadar County Development Agency ZADRA NOVA, together with University of Zadar, gathered different stakeholders from Zadar County on a specific workshop and discussed the topics related to the development of the inland areas.

The participants were representatives of regional government body Zadar County, a local museum, tourist board, entrepreneurs and family run farms.  The meeting took place on a Family Run Farm “Škaulj” in Zadar inland area and included various topics and discussion about the possibilities for a more balanced touristic development.

Firstly, there was a presentation of different possibilities for the development of the thematic itineraries in the inland area. On this occasion, two possible thematc pathways were presented and discussed by the participants. Furthermore, the natural and cultural assets of the area, the conditions for their protection and effective management, as well as the possibilities for connecting them to coastal areas, were examined.

In the second part of the workshop there was further discussion about: improvement of the protection of the natural and cultural assets, recommendation for the development of the thematic pathways and itineraries, improvement of the connections with coastal area sas well as recommendations for touristic and sustainable valorisation through common actions with the coastal areas, and other helpful insights on touristic development of the inland area.


Finally, the participants recommended several more natural  and cultural assets that should be included, emphasysed the importance of inclusion of tourist boards and agencies and  proposed their further collaboration for the project implmentation.
