In recent months, the technical-scientific group of Made in land, consisted of experts and researchers of the University of Camerino and the University of Zadar, formalized the Cross-Border strategy for the development and promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of inlands areas.

On 12th of November, the Marche Region as lead partner, in collaboration with UNICAM and University of Zadar, has organized the online workshop to present the strategy to the nation stakeholders as well as the pilot actions that will be implemented.

It was a milestone to build a new approach for the development of inlands areas based on, from one side, the integration of landscape resources, better policies and slow mobility; and from the other side, the reorganization of the communication tools and the agencies and subjects responsible for the promotion of the tourism.

The workshop has seen the participation of prestigious speakers, Italians and Croatians, from the Academic sector (UNICAM and University of Zagreb), the Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage and tourism, the Croatian tourism Institute, the National committee for internal lands, Minister of Tourism, Minister of Culture, University of Zagreb and the Italian Honorary Consul in Split, representing the Italian Ambassador in Croatia.

The next step will be the implementation of the Pilot actions for the five area and the establishment of the Permanent Cross border Observatory that will have the responsibility to monitor the implementation of the Actions plans and capitalize the project outputs and results at regional and national level in order to manage fragile inland landscapes and unleash their potential in terms of economic development.
