MADE IN-LAND project: Local committee Meeting in Marche Region

On 29th June 2020 Marche Region, as Lead partner of the project “MADE IN-LAND – MAnagement and DEvelopment of INLANDs”, has organized an online meeting for the presentation of the OSIC to the stakeholders. 
 

The event has been an opportunity to present the definition of the Pilot Action process and the identification of Muccia for hosting the OSIC offices. Muccia in fact is located at the center of the area or Chienti River valley, crossed by SS77 and high-speed road. The online meeting further detailed the assessment on the physical accessibility and the thematic and touristic pathway/itineraries in the targeted areas. 

According the agenda, through a specific round table, Marche Region officers explained the strategic alignment between the project’s slow focus and the regional tourism policy. Furthermore, some of business stakeholders that offer service in the field of culture, tourism and local development underlined the importance to respond effectively and innovatively to the need to enhance and promote natural and cultural resources as factors of economic development of the territory, integrate with an approach of sustainability and well-being of the community.
The main topics to deepen with the OSIC will be: - Good practices and planning; - Slow mobility itineraries to improve the use of the naturalistic-cultural heritage; - Structured and complex actions to encourage integrated tourist use between the coast and inland areas.
