AZRRI presented the MADE IN-LAND project at the famous Venetian Mostra

At the invitation of the Joint Secretariat of the INTERREG Italy-Croatia Program, AZRRI-Agency for Rural Development of Istria participated in the event "Cultural and Communication Dimension of the European Territorial Cooperation Program INTERREG Italy-Croatia", which took place as part of the 78th edition of the Venice Film Festival Venice.

On that occasion, the head of the Center for Education, European and Institutional Cooperation of AZRRI, Jasenka Kapuralin presented the European project MADE IN-LAND-Sustainable Rural Management, which the Agency is implementing together with 7 partners from Croatia and Italy. Also, the tourist route "Sensory route of Istrian heritage" was presented, which was designed as part of a project with the main goal of valorization and popularization of the rural hinterland of Istria.
Sensory routes of Istrian heritage are a new tourist product designed with the aim of enriching and valorizing the mainland or the inner green pearl of the Istrian County. Carefully designed routes, which stimulate all the senses and offer guests a unique experience and unforgettable experiences, will create the basis for future tourist itineraries and routes that will attract visitors to rural areas to reduce pressure on the coast that created a complete tourist offer. It is a project that covers the rural area of ​​Istria north of Buzet, all the way to Vodnjan, and which includes the towns of Buzet, Pazin and Vodnjan, and the municipalities of Svetvincenat and Zminj.

The task of the project, as Kapuralin explains, was to develop a joint strategy for the cross-border area that will identify opportunities to connect the coast and the interior through the creation of new content and products that include unvalued cultural heritage, natural heritage and gastronomy. and offers guests on the coast. Sensory routes of Istrian heritage have been created in cooperation with local self-government units and local tourist boards. Through such a concept of branding the interior of Istria, he wants guests from the coast to discover the interior of the Peninsula, that is, to experience Istria and enjoy it with all their senses.
The information initiative is a collaboration within the 78th edition of the Venice Film Festival aimed at raising awareness of the European program and its projects that used European Union funds to media representatives, while emphasizing their cultural and visual component. The Joint Secretariat of the Program provided the selected project partners with an opportunity to present the achievements and results of the projects implemented under the INTERREG Italy-Croatia Program.
These events invited representatives of local, regional and national press, television, radio and specialized magazines working in the sectors of culture, tourism, climate and transport, for the purpose of dissemination and communication of all presented projects.
