Another MADE IN-LAND objective has been reached: the Virtual Eco Museum of the Muncipality of Riccia has been finally launched!

On December 19, 2021, on an italian winter but sunny day, the virtual eco museum of the Muncipality of Riccia, entitled “Terr@diPasso”, has been presented to a wide audience.

On December 19, 2021, on an italian winter but sunny day, the virtual eco museum of the Muncipality of Riccia, entitled “Terr@diPasso”, has been presented to a wide audience.

The ceremony has been held in the charming historic centre of the city, located in Piano della Corte, and has started with the istitutional greetings of the Mayor of Riccia, Mr Pietro Testa, of the technical director of “Molise verso il 2000”, Mr Adolfo Fabrizio Colagiovanni, as well as the Regional Councilor of the Molise Region, Mrs Micaela Fanelli.

Many famous technicians have joined the event, like Mr Luigi Valente, who has designed the restoration work of the Tower of Riccia, Mrs Dora Catalano, Superintendent of Fine Arts and Landscape Archeology of Molise and Mr Michele Fratino, representative of the company Just MO, which has worked at the realization of the virtual eco museum “Terr@diPasso”.

For the event, many exhibition rooms of the Tower of Riccia have been set up to provide digital content and information to web visitors; with direct connections to the online virtual eco museum, through totems and signs with qrcode, so that tourists, who enter the Tower of Riccia, can pass from the physical visit of this, to the virtual one of the assets of the inland area of Fortore.

The virtual eco museum of Riccia is one of the pilot action realized in the framework of the MADE IN-LAND project. It consists of an hardware-software system with an online database of information for user-friendly navigation. Real natural and cultural assets are connected through markers, physical and georeferenced, to the database within a virtual and augmented reality system. The main objective of the virtual eco museum will be to attract tourists from the coast to the inland area of Fortore.
