Highlights from the first Regional Workshop in Trieste

The transition toward a greener and more digital Blue Economy has officially taken a major step forward. On January 15th, 2026, the University of Trieste hosted the first regional workshop for the LEAP TO BLUE project—an Operation of Strategic Importance (OSI) under the Interreg Italy–Croatia 2021–2027 Programme.
The afternoon session, titled “LEAP TO BLUE: Opportunities and Services for SMEs in the Blue Economy,” brought together small and medium-sized enterprises, researchers, and innovation experts. The goal was simple yet vital: to listen to the needs of the industry and co-create a service catalogue that truly works for businesses.
