HABI project kicks off - On the protection of NATURA 2000 areas

Representatives of the project partners met in Conversano on October 19th, 2023 for the Kick-off Meeting. Following the meeting, the team explored Sassano Lake where scientific research activities on species and habitat of community interest will be held.
The HABI project aims to enhance the environmental and cultural aspects of the cross-border area, particularly focusing on #NATURA2000 areas.
The project seeks to strike a balance between human and natural environments through strategies, workshops, and awareness campaigns. Various stakeholders will actively participate in foreseen activities, including the public, youth, SMEs, and local authorities. The project’s objectives encompass biodiversity conservation, education, research, and sustainable tourism, ultimately improving local quality of life.
