INTESA in Klaipeda (Lithuania) on September 5th 2019

Within CIVITAS PORTIS, the Port of Trieste will improve the management of the Port gates through new ICT equipment and software in order to optimize the entry and exit of trucks, thus reducing the environmental impact of the port-related transport flows.

The Port of Trieste presented the INTESA project to the ca. 40 participants of the 4th General Assembly of the CIVITAS PORTIS project, held in Klaipeda (Lithuania) on September 5th 2019.

Through CIVITAS PORTIS, funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme, five European cities (Klaipeda, Aberdeen, Antwerp, Trieste and Costanta) will test innovative and sustainable urban mobility solutions in five European port cities.

Within CIVITAS PORTIS, the Port of Trieste will improve the management of the Port gates through new ICT equipment and software in order to optimize the entry and exit of trucks, thus reducing the environmental impact of the port-related transport flows.

By optimizing and making maritime transport more secure, identifying and tackling the still existing bottlenecks, also INTESA contributes to achieving goals of sustainability and efficiency of maritime transport, improving the overall quality of life for people living in port cities.
