The InnovaMare strategic project is designed to develop and establish a model of the innovation ecosystem in the field of underwater robotics and sensors for the control and monitoring of pollution in the Adriatic Sea. The project is co-financed by the EU Regional Development Fund under the Italy-Croatia Cross-border Cooperation Program 2014-2020. One of the main challenges of the InnovaMare project is to improve the efficiency of innovation activities in relevant areas of the blue economy – increasing knowledge transfer within cooperation.
On Wednesday 22 March (h 9.00 CET), at Cus Bari (Lungomare Starita 1/A-B) there will be the workshop “Cooperation, blue technologies and smart solutions for the sustainability of the Adriatic Sea” and demonstration activities of marine innovative robotic solutions implemented within the project.
On Thursday 23 March, there will be a study visit in Valenzano and Monopoli at the following blue economy centres of excellence: Coastal Engineering Laboratory (LIC) of DICATECh – Polytechnic University of Bari (Valenzano) and Labruna s.r.l. – Marine Division (Monopoli).
The event, which will be held in English, will be an opportunity to talk about the blue economy, blue technologies and sea smart solutions and their applications.
