On behalf of the project's lead partner, Istrian REgional Energy Agency-IRENA, the main results of the project, implemented from January 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019, were presented by Nikola Petrić, iDEAL project manager.

Representatives of the project partners presented the results of the climate change research and upcoming activities, with the aim of improving the climate control system and planning adaptation measures in the coastal areas of Italy and Croatia.

Project partners discussed separately two main outputs of the project - the development of climate plans and the implementation of the DSS tool - a decision support tool based on the information and knowledge gathered in the field of climate change impacts in coastal areas.

The goal of adaptation plans is to investigate climatic conditions of a particular geographical area and propose adaptation measures for future climatic conditions.

Project iDEAL brought together six partners from Italy and Croatia. In addition to the Istrian Regional Energy Agency-IRENA, Croatia also has the participation of the Dubrovnik Development Agency-DURA and Italian partners: Municipality of Pesaro, Municipality of Misano Adriatico, Regional National Park "Dune Costiere da Torre Canne a Torre San Leonardo" and Iuav, University from Venice.
