Capacity building and practical training on Civil Protection equipment in Aquileia
On 10 and 11 March 2026, the Municipality of Aquileia will host a two-day capacity-building and practical exercise to test the strengthening of skills and equipment acquired within the framework of the HANDY Project.
The activities will take place in Aquileia and in Palmanova, bringing together project partners and civil protection authorities.
The first day will focus on theoretical training and operational preparation, including an overview of the emergency scenario focus on hydrogeological disasters, followed by guidelines on the use of equipment purchased and a hands-on training session with simulations.
The second day will take place in Palmanova, where participants will visit the operational headquarters of the Regional Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The visit will provide insights into the regional civil protection system and its operational structure.
The programme will conclude with a final evaluation, allowing partners to reflect on the outcomes of the training and share feedback on the activities carried out.
