Where you can find natural springs, endless woods, green land, examples of karst and protected natural areas? The answer is Karlovac county, which in addition to natural resources, has great historical and cultural value. What it has to offer and how can it get close to new visitors, explained Aleksandra Kolić Puškarić from Tourist Board of Ogulin.
Beautiful climate for nature and business
- In relation to the rest of Croatia, Karlovac county has always been an administrative and historical centre, of all forms of our country throughout history. And otherwise, it has a beautiful climate and natural environment, but it also has a different side, that is, in winter the climate here is quite harsh, but because of that climate, local population developed a lot of various knowledge and skills, passed from generation to generation – says Kolić Puškarić, pointing that Karlovac county has good resources for growth of creative industry and for development of new businesses. For example, someone who is engaged in forestry could, with new interpretation of traditional management of wood industry resources, develop modern furniture design and thus improve resource on creative level, at the same time be accepted at today’s demanding market.
Creating tourist products for those who value it
- Everything we have, needs to be taken good care of, efficiently and economically. We need to know where our every visitor goes, and how his visit will affect our resources. Because here in Karlovac county, there are natural resources for creating special tourist products which are intended mainly for those visitors who know their real value – finished Aleksandra Kolić Puškarić, inviting all potential tourists to discover Karlovac county.
