I would say that in the Croatian literature she is mostly renowned as the author of children novel The Brave Adventures of Lapitch and the fairy tales collection Croatian Tales of Long Ago. We are here precisely thanks to the fairy tales collection Croatian Tales of Long Ago which Ivana wrote while 42 years old, inspired by her hometown – said Kolić, explaining that the visitor centre is the place where one can explore whole life of Ivana Brlić Mažuranić while having fun and learn. Because visitor centre features interesting permanent multimedia exhibition with touch screens, talking trees, animated films, magic mirror that reveals magic powers to visitors, and many more.

- Entering the Ivana's House of Fairy Tales, you're entering the magic world of the magic forest, where trees tell tales and stories, Ivana's of course. There's also a place, where you enter the enchanted castle hallways where you can explore what the fairy tale is, and which magic objects and subjects it hides. By the way, Croatian Tales of Long Ago has been published for the first time in 1916. At the same year, just a bit before the first issue of Croatian Tales of Long Ago, Ivana wrote her autobiography, which confirms that the inspiration for her fairy tales came from her birthplace – Ogulin, in wondrous and dominant shapes of Klek mountain, in river Dobra, in all natural beauties and national costumes – revealed Kolić, while “Domaći” (Brownies – fiery fairy tale characters) was keeping her back.

“Ivana is a hostess to all the fairy tales and fairy tale authors from all over the world, so every visitor is welcomed to enter our magic world”, invites Sanja Kolić.
