The Kick-off meeting of ECOMAP (Ecosustainable management of marine and tourist ports) project will be held in Podstrana on the 21st and 22nd of February 2019, at Hotel Eden, Strozanacka cesta 76, 21312 Podstrana.
The meeting will be organized in order to plan the activities, establish the internal rules within the partnership and to discuss responsibilities and obligations.
ECOMAP contributes to the goal of eco-equilibrium and eco-efficiency by sharing new types of planning for the sustainability of ports and marinas in the Italian and Croatian Adriatic sea through innovative methodologies, investments on tools and small infrastructures education of personnel and involved parties.
The aim of "ECOMAP" is to help local ports to design better environmental strategies and to have access to suitable environmental management tools to remain competitive and to contribute to a more sustainable Programme area.
Partners will work together to improve their port environmental status, through investments in equipment and small infrastructure, education of staff and stakeholders, and environmental certifications.
Best practices by leading-edge small ports will be identified through project communication and study visits. During this project, the partners, supported by experts, will share and identify better practice, as well as test and formalize methodological tools for monitoring and prevention of pollution. The results of this work will be put at the disposal of all local ports in Programme area online and through organised congress and local dissemination events.
