E-CITIJENS objective is to increase the safety of the Croatian and Italian Adriatic basin natural and man-made disaster by the improvement of monitoring and emergency management measures, harnessing the characteristics of the social media network to significantly enhance Civil Protection’s capacity in reducing disaster risk. It pursues the above target through cross-border cooperation to: supply advanced and efficient decision support system to Civil Protection; keep open a real-time update channel on risk occurrences by collecting and using citizens information voluntarily provided via Social Media (citizen journalism); implement a Raising Awareness intervention on citizens to act as “active sensor” of emergencies via social media.

The regional civil protection service has institutional tasks of forecasting, prevention, emergency management and post-emergence in civil protection activities, sanctioned by the laws of the Italian State and the regional laws. The Civil Protection Service is included in the 4th Department "Territorial Government" and carries out H24 activities 365 days a year

Veneto Region - Civil Protection and Local Police Department
The Department for Civil Protection and Local Police is the regional structure in charge for the most part of competences given by law at Veneto Region about Civil Protection. Regional competencies are: • Prevention • Forecasting • Emergency • Civil Protection Volunteers Organization. The Department achieves awareness –raising actions, information campaigns, exercises and courses for citizens and volunteers to spread the principle of civils protections among the Community.

SDC is experienced in preparation and implementation of different CBC projects. Institution has an extensive network of national, regional and local institutions with competent staff successful in implementing multidisciplinary projects that require regional and international cooperation skills. SDC is organized in 11 departments, each dealing with sectorial issues, employs the total of 270 staff, well-educated and trained with yearly budget of around 143.780.000,00 €.

University of Split - Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodes
UNIST- FGAG is a scientific and teaching constituent of the University of Split delivering higher education programmes, research and professional activities. It successfully brings together scholars and students from the fields of civil engineering, architecture, urban planning, geodesy and geoinformatics. UNIST-FGAG promotes and contributes to the collaborative research at the regional and national level, and aims to international recognition at the same time.

EURelations is an European Economic Interest Grouping established in 2002 by public and private Institutions. Those Institutions are from various European Countries. EURelations EEIG is based in Campobasso (Molise Italy). The main purpose of EURelations EEIG is to promote and support actions related to local development in each of the affected countries. To reach this aim, EURelations devises and coordinates local, national and international projects under the main European Programmes.

Municipality of Pescara
Pescara has 120.151 inhabitants, an annual budget of more than 10.000.000 € and 750 staff units. Its European Policies Department acquired expertise and know-how related to ETC developing different initiatives in crossborder and transnational projects aimed to enhance the relations with the Adriatic area. The European Policies Department partecipated in the development of new Civil Protection Emergency Risk Plan granting the necessary links and coherence with European CP Mechanism.

Adriatic Ionian Euroregion
The Adriatic Ionian Euroregion is an international association of 33 members (Regional and Local governments from Italy, Greece, Croatia, BiH, Montenegro and Albania) constituted for the promotion of trans-national and inter-regional cooperation between regions and local authorities of the Adriatic and Ionian basin. The Euroregion promotes the coordinated and integrated development between member regions, giving them support in creating joint initiatives and projects.

Zadar County Rural Development Agency - AGRRA
Zadar County Rural Development Agency (AGRRA) is a public institution established by the County of Zadar. AGRRA coordinates and implements the activities related to Zadar County rural development. It strengthens financial and human resources with the scope to include actively all the stakeholders in the rural development policies and offers technical and advisory help in the international and interregional cooperation programmes focused on technical and other development of rural areas.
