24/06/2026

On 19 May 2026, project partners gathered in Krk, Croatia, for the official Kick-Off Meeting of DYGOV – Digital Youth-oriented Governance's Model for Cross-Border Youth Cultural Engagement & Identity-based Decision-Making – marking the beginning of the project implementation phase under the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme.

The meeting brought together representatives of all project partners to establish the governance, management, communication and implementation framework for the successful delivery of project activities.

The event commenced with a public presentation attended by local stakeholders and media representatives, during which the partnership introduced the project’s objectives, expected results and planned activities. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening youth participation in democratic and decision-making processes, promoting innovative digital governance solutions and fostering cross-border cooperation between Croatia and Italy.

During the official Kick-Off Meeting, partners reviewed programme requirements, project management procedures, reporting obligations and communication activities, while also confirming the governance structure and division of responsibilities within the partnership.

Discussions focused on the implementation of the project’s key activities, including the development of the CitiSpace Digital Youth Participation Platform, the establishment of the Bi-National Youth Advisory CitiGEN Council, the organisation of Transnational Capacity-Building Workshops and the future DYGOV Policy Forum. Partners also reviewed the project monitoring and evaluation framework and agreed on the preparatory actions required for the first implementation period.

The partnership confirmed its commitment to effective cooperation, stakeholder engagement and the achievement of the project’s objectives and expected results. The first transnational workshop and related project activities are scheduled for October 2026, while preparatory coordination, communication and stakeholder engagement activities will commence in advance.

The DYGOV partnership brings together the City of Krk (Lead Partner), the Municipality of Lizzanello, the Center of Excellence of the Split–Dalmatia County and Rinascita Social Cooperative Society.
