18/05/2026
The Kick-Off Meeting of the Interreg Italy–Croatia project DYGOV – Digital Youth-oriented Governance’s Model for Cross-Border Youth Cultural Engagement & Identity-based Decision-Making – will be held on 19 May 2026 in the Small Council Chamber of the City of Krk, Croatia. The event officially marks the start of the project implementation period and the beginning of structured cross-border cooperation between project partners from Croatia and Italy.
The DYGOV project is implemented under the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme and aims to strengthen institutional capacities for inclusive, youth-oriented governance through innovative participatory approaches, digital civic engagement tools, and sustainable cooperation mechanisms between local authorities, educational institutions, and civil society organisations.
The project partnership consists of:
- City of Krk as Lead Partner,
- Municipality of Lizzanello,
- Center of Excellence of the Split-Dalmatia County,
- Rinascita Social Cooperative Society.
During the Kick-Off Meeting, project partners will review the overall project framework, implementation timeline, reporting procedures, financial management rules, communication and visibility obligations, and the establishment of the Steering Committee and Project Management structure. The programme’s Joint Secretariat representatives will also provide guidance regarding implementation requirements and programme expectations.
Special focus will be dedicated to Work Package 1 – Participatory Youth Governance for Cross-Border Cooperation – which includes activities related to youth participation mechanisms, transnational capacity-building workshops, development of the CitiSpace digital participation platform, establishment of the bi-national CitiGEN Youth Advisory Council, and organisation of cross-border governance dialogue initiatives.
With a total budget of €312,350 and a project duration of 18 months, DYGOV seeks to create sustainable and replicable governance models that encourage active youth participation, strengthen democratic cooperation, and support long-term institutional collaboration across the Adriatic region.
