The project DORY, capitalizing the results of the IPA Adriatic ECOSEA project, intends to promote the adoption of common management models for supporting sustainable fisheries and development of alternative spatial management measures. The pilot activities will test the innovative solutions for reducing the negative aquaculture ecological impact of the economic activities and to, on the other hand, enhance the biodiversity of fish habitats.

Marche Region – Fisheries economy Department acts as Intermediate Authority of the new European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) (2014-2020) and is responsible at Regional level for programming and implementing actions aimed to a sustainable development of fisheries and aquaculture. Overseeing fisheries and aquaculture governance, the Maritime Fisheries Department has also relevant experience in the involvement and engagement of sector stakeholders.

Veneto Region - Agri-environment, hunting and fishery direction
The Agri-Environment, Fishery and Wildlife Programming and Management Directorate Direction is competent in the governance of the fishery sector, thanks to several years of direct contact with the stakeholders as well as research institutions, enterprises, industry, associations, and public bodies. In addition, the Partner institutionally represents the regional level of policymaking for the fishery sector.

Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia - Service for hunting and fishing resources performs regulatory, administrative and management functions in fisheries and aquaculture and is the Managing Authority for regional interventions of the new fund EMFF 2014-2020. The Institute for Biological Resources and Marine Biotechnologies (CNR- IRBIM) was founded in 1968 as the Marine Fisheries Research Institute (IRPEM), with scientific expertise related mainly to fisheries science of the Adriatic Sea. The most important areas of research are fisheries biology, mariculture and artificial reefs, population dynamics, physical and chemical oceanography, marine microbiology, marine geology, acoustics, naval technology and fishing gear technology.
