CROSSCONNECT joins round table “Intermodality of Maritime Transport in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County”

The CROSSCONNECT project is pleased to announce its participation in the round table titled “Intermodality of Maritime Transport in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County: Advantages, Challenges and Potential”, which will be held online on 17 December 2025.

The event is organised by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County as part of the CYROS project and brings together key regional stakeholders to explore the future of intermodal transport systems in the region. The focus will be on strengthening the connection between different modes of transport—including maritime, air, road, and public transport—with particular attention to safer and more efficient solutions for cyclists and passengers.

Representatives of Dubrovnik Airport and the Dubrovnik Port Authority, both active partners in CROSSCONNECT, will jointly present the project’s ongoing pilot activities in Dubrovnik. These include the introduction of electric vehicles and bicycles for airport and port operations, as well as a new digital tool to provide real-time information for passengers navigating the journey between the airport and port.

The agenda includes a presentation of the CYROS project by Dubrovnik-Neretva County, followed by the CROSSCONNECT presentation from 9:10 to 9:20. The programme continues with discussions on intermodality on the region's islands and opportunities for improving public transport connections.

This event represents another opportunity for CROSSCONNECT to share best practices and build synergies with other EU-funded initiatives working toward more sustainable, efficient, and inclusive mobility in the Adriatic.

Stay tuned for updates and outcomes from the discussion.
