On the 6th of July, the Local Coastal Energy Hub animated by the University Camerino met online for the last time within the COASTENERGY project. Fifteen persons attended, including two new entries: ARPAM, the regional agency for environmental protection, and CNR-IRBIM, a branch of the National Research Institute working on biological resources and marine biotechnologies.
The meeting served to present the proposed pilot project of a wave energy conversion system in the port of Ancona, and to discuss on possible synergies and opportunities for future blue energy initiatives in the Marche region, also in view of the next EU funds programming period. There was also time for networking, with a speech by a representative of the Interreg IT-HR project JOINT_SECAP. The activities of the Hub will continue in the coming months, with the organization of a round of further bilateral meetings with the Regional Government and other key stakeholders.
