Published on 11/05/2021 (last modified 11/05/2021)

The CHANGE WE CARE stakeholder engagement meetings were organized for the Sacca di Goro pilot site by the Management Body for Parks and Biodiversity - Delta del Po during September 2020, November 2020 and March 2021. The participatory process was tailored to the needs of this specific territory, with the aim to jointly identify some mitigative and adaptative measures to deal with the climate change issue affecting the area.

The activities of the participatory process were carried out by creating 4 different working groups differentiated by the main Po Delta stakeholders groups. They were: 1. Public Bodies and Competent Agencies; 2. Tourist operators and other types of economic operators 3. Schools, young people and environmental associations and 4. Shellfish farmers and fishermen.
During the first workshop (Goro, September 2020), stakeholders were asked to identify the criticalities due  to climate change, perceived by their respective "points of view". The criticalities were transformed into objectives to be achieved and good practices and possible shared solutions were identyfied with the support of technicians and experts.
In the second workshop (online, November 2020) the proposed solutions were presented as embryonic projects and then discussed and integrateed  according to the experiences of the participants. These projects have been designed to capitalize already ongoing projects/ activities.
In the third Workshop (online, March 2021) the progress of the projects was presented and implemented by each working group and  commitments were collected to favour the realization of the projects.
