The presence of more than five hundred and fifty participants at the series of webinar of CASCADE Projects is the confirmation of the extraordinary attention to the territory, of the importance of both the integrated ecosystem management and the planning for protected areas preservation.

Thanks to the 21 speakers, who have shared the experience of the Universities of Bari, Salento, Bologna and Venezia, and the representatives of partners and Institutions involved in CASCADE projects, the seven appointments have spread a comprehensive overview of administrative aspects, technological applications and technical-scientific paths necessary to ensure the future of both the protected areas and the planet. 

On the various dates, they have provided in depth-studies in the fields of soft restoration, species recovery capabilities, and technical-scientific activities carried out in the marine-coastal areas of the project such as the Venetian lagoon, the Goro area, Torre Guaceto MPA and the Salina Punta della Contessa marine area.

Together with CASCADE, it has been presented a space for all those who are involved in the protected areas planning and management, in order to analyze and define both the methodologies and the tools necessary to ensure the coastal marine systems management.

With CASCADE, they have promoted an interdisciplinary network to preserve the sea and the environment in which we live.
