The series of webinars of the CASCADE Project will start on November 29th.

The first ones, called “LET'S MAKE SPACE FOR SPECIES” are focused on the development of soft restoration skills and species recovery ability, with a particular reference to the Project Pilot Area that includes Torre Guaceto, Canale Reale Punta della Contessa and Melendugno.

During the second session, the meetings called “THE ROAD TO RECOVERY” will be based on both integrated Ecosystem management and the support of shared, informed, and real-time decision-making about Protected Areas development planning and management.

The project, financed by the Interreg Italy-Croatia cooperation program and under Apulia region’s patronage, involves 19 partners – public institutions, universities, research centres and environmentalist associations – coming from both Countries overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

Throughout three years, CASCADE aims to increase the levels of knowledge and study of inland, coastal, and marine ecosystem vulnerabilities both in Italy and Croatia with the final purpose of protecting endangered species and supporting the territories integrated management. Within the Project, the round of Workshops is an important space where to share case studies and essential information to support efficient actions aimed to face the environmental vulnerability and both the ecosystem fragmentation and preservation at a cross-border level.
