Zadar Study Visit "Discovering the natural and cultural heritage of Zadar County" implemented

The purpose of this study visit was to support the sustainable tourism approach in Zadar County and the development of rural tourism while exploiting the preserved joint cultural assets. Also, it aims to present the less-known natural and cultural heritage of the Zadar rural area to stakeholders and the general public.

On January 26th a study and journalist visit was organised in Zadar, Croatia. During this tour, we discovered the following natural and cultural heritage: Native museum Benkovac, Asseria, Fort Kličevica, Vransko lake and Heritage hotel Maškovića Han.

The study visit was attended by 1 representative from the field of tourism, 2 representatives of NGOs, 9 students from the University of Zadar and 1 representative, 10 representatives of the regional agency, and 8 project partners City of Rijeka, STEP RI and Marche Region. The study visit included local, regional and national media. 13 journalists, including photographers, participated. All participants of the study visit/ journalist study visit were delighted with the locations of the visited rural region of Zadar County. After the studio tour, the participants had lunch at the Karaba Winery, where they could also taste traditional dishes.
