The purpose of this local event is an informative lecture on the available means of financing from EU funds through the provision of support to public law bodies and public institutions from the area of Zadar County for adequate planning and implementation of measures aimed at the use of EU funds. Also, the aim of this event is to present the activities of the BOOST5 project and the possibilities that EU funds offer for the promotion of sustainable tourism and the development of the rural part of the Zadar area.

BOOST5 project tackles one of the region’s main challenges: valorizing and preserving the rich and varied cultural heritage and taking advantage of it in a sustainable way to support economic development. The purpose of this local event is also to present the lesser-known natural and cultural heritage of the Zadar rural area to local public authorities, as well as the activities of the BOOST5 project, which will influence economic development and rural tourism. The local event will refer to the Study visit that was organized in Zadar County, to the documents created as part of the project (Inventory of heritage in minor territories, Best practice catalog), and to the next activities that follow on the BOOST5 project.

Through high-quality and concrete utilization of EU funds and the creation of new ideas by the needs of Zadar County, we can improve the tourist offer of the rural area and its economic development, and also promote sustainable tourism of Zadar County both at the regional, and national and cross-border levels.
