The territory of Ferrara has great potential related to mobility "green" and the use of the bicycle, in which sustainable tourism and cycling are development resources to be promoted, alongside a daily use of this means of transport, to be enhanced by improving security conditions and related services.

Completing the cycle paths and connecting with the main existing ridges is an important objective that can be pursued if shared with the entire territory. A path therefore in which public actors are called to promote sustainable mobility and intermodality between the bicycle and public transport, so it is increasingly necessary to collaborate with individuals and businesses, the system of services, the reception, and catering.

The workshop represents a moment of important sharing and a commitment to rational and coherent scheduling of the interventions to be implemented on the provincial network of cycle paths, with a view to ensuring continuity to the network itself, through the signing of a "Territorial Agreement for the system of cycling routes in the province of Ferrara" by all public bodies involved. 
The initiative is part of the activities of the BOOST5 project, funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme, with a focus on sustainable tourism, and among the activities of the Province of Ferrara for the formation/ approval of the new Territorial Plan.
