On 14 May 2019, Region of Istria organized in Pula its second Living Lab Workshop, in the frame of BLUTOURSYSTEM project.

The title of workshop was "Destination management activities- fostering abilities to improve competitiveness, innovation and creative enhancement of the tourism offer, enriching the analysis capacities of operators, while developing new knowledge of tools and services and ability to support destination management".

Several stakeholders, representative of both public and private sector in the tourism field, were involved in the Living Lab Workshop. As a matter of fact, the purpose of BLUTOURSYSTEM project is to create a network and renew the way of involving key actors with different profiles, interests and priorities, implementing a human-centred process that will generate innovative ideas to support blue creative strategies and increase awareness of the community and new scenarios. This network will support the creation of the BLUETOURSYSTEM platform as an open innovation ecosystem, created specifically to support the growth of sustainable tourism in the CB area. The living laboratories, organized in different locations, represent an operational branch of the platform.

 

BLUTOURSYSTEM project, funded by Interreg V-A Italy-Croatia CBC Programme 2014­-2020, mainly through the European Regional Development Fund, was born to enhance the framework conditions for innovation in the relevant sectors of the blue economy within the cooperation area.
