Bilateral Meeting of BLUTOURSYSTEM in Venice

The BLUTOURSYSTEM project operative meeting in Venice has been organized by the project partner Region of Istria and Lead partner University of Venice Ca' Foscari.

The meeting was held at the premises of University of Venice Ca' Foscari in Venice (Italy), on 14th December 2018.

The meeting was structured as a one-day event with the aim to improve the process of capitalization of the smart cross-border data system. Participating team members agreed on future steps in the usage of gathered information and plans for long-term exposure of BLUTOURSYSTEM database for large number of stakeholders being involved in tourism and catering sector in neighbourhood countries. The meeting was very important for facilitating quality knowledge transfer to the territory of the Istrian Region within the activities of WP3 “Developing a cross-border community” implementation and WP4 “Capacity building process, networking and pilot scenarios for Blue tourism development” workshops.

BLUTOURSYSTEM project was born to enhance the framework conditions for innovation in the relevant sectors of the blue economy within the cooperation area. The project aim to provides tourism operators with tools and skill to develop new business ecosystems and to identify new tourism scenarios and to increase participants’ skills and knowledge having multiplier effect on the tourism sector

BLUTOURSYSTEM project will last for 18 Months and will represent a real chance to advance the Cross-Border Tourism Sector in the long run.
