Newsletter #9: International Events, Innovation and Upcoming Workshop Activities

The latest edition of the BLUE RECHARGE newsletter highlights recent project activities focused on sustainable water management, climate adaptation, and international cooperation in the field of groundwater protection.

One of the featured activities is the participation of Dr. Bojana Hajduk Černeha at the MISSION4WATER Joint Networking and Matchmaking Conference held in Pula on 15 April. During the event, discussions focused on innovative approaches for water protection and sustainable development in the Adrion area, with special emphasis on cross-sector cooperation and knowledge exchange between academia, institutions, and private stakeholders.

The newsletter also presents the BLUE RECHARGE participation at Macfrut 2026, where the project showcased innovative approaches to aquifer management, Nature-Based Solutions, and Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) systems. Particular attention was given to the operational application of the Blue Credits concept and sustainable groundwater recharge practices supported by research and monitoring activities.

In addition, the newsletter announces the upcoming online workshop Replicability of Blue Stewardship for Climate Change Adaptation”, which will take place on 27 May 2026. The workshop will focus on the replicability of Blue Stewardship models, operational approaches, and nature-based solutions for strengthening climate resilience and protecting water resources.
