The JU RERA S.D. for coordination and development of the Split-Dalmatia County delivered an Open Day aimed at informing students as well as local companies in the blue sector on the benefits of international exchanges
 

On November 5, 2018, between 12 am and 5 pm, an Open Day took place in the hall of the Maritime School in Split. Organised by the JU Rera SD, Split, the Open Day has been aimed at raise the awareness of students and local companies in the blue sector about the benefits of international exchanges and apprenticeships.

At the info desk, students and visitors were informed about the project, activities and future results. During the presentation, students had the opportunity to learn about educational and professional opportunities for participating in mobility programmes in terms of skills development, practical work experience, travel and knowledge dissemination.

The BLUE KEP Open Day was organised in 3 parts:

  1. Two  Info Points. One set at the entrance of the school, where students and all interested people could get information on the project and where promotional materials were exhibited. Another Info Point was set up on the first floor.
  2. Power Point Presentations by Marija Krjajić and Ivan Župan addressed to the third classes of the Maritime School
  3. Expression of interest In the Split Nautical School, teachers answered to questions about the forthcoming exchanges in Italy. 

More than 150 students and 26 teachers participated on the Open Day. Five classes from third year with a total of 117 students and 5 teachers were involved in the presentations, while other teachers were informed about the project in the school library space and at the Info Points. 

The Open Day was also an occasion for the students of the Pomorska Škola in Split that were selected for participating in the mobility programme tochoose between spending 45 days of nautical orientation programmes in one of the two Italian partner schools in Regione Marche: IIS Volterra-Elia in and I.T.I.S. Montani di Fermo.
