For the development of shipbuilding sector in Italy and Croatia
On 7th June, the first Consortium Meeting and Steering Committee of BEAT -Blue Enhancement action for Technology Transfer, will be held at Pordenone Chamber of Commerce premises.
Beat project involves the following partners:

A bridge between Italy and Croatia aiming to develop shipbuilding sector strengthening commercial relations between companies and research centers operating in the Adriatic area is the project goal.
By capitalizing the feasibility study implemented in the Blue Tech project approved under the Target call on Adriatic IPA cross-border cooperation 2007–2013, the partnership aims at creating a cross–border cluster in maritime and shipbuilding sectors including actors and SMEs in other sectors of blue sector chain.
BEAT project will involve 30 companies (20 Italian and 10 Croatian) in a self-assessment activity measuring and benchmarking their innovative capacity, helping them to improve their attitude towards innovation.
Researchers from the University of Trieste, Padua and the Technology Transfer Center of the University of Rijeka will meet the companies collecting data from employees and will provide participants with a benchmarking report.
