One year ago we were hosted by the radio programme SCONFINAMENTI and we presented the aim of the project and the activities. Today’s episode will host Dr. Sabina Susmel, researcher in analytical chemistry of the chemistry section of the Department of AGRICULTURAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND ANIMAL SCIENCES - Di4A of the University of Udine and also project coordinator who will explain to us what research activities were done in the last year, the impact of the Covid19 epidemic on the project and how they are managing the training activities: “We have extended the project by one year to complete our activities because we care about water. The first semester will be dedicated to training activities - from teachers to pupils from Udine to Pescara, Fano, Pola, Porec, Split. We will involve all partners through Adswim didactic module which has been accredited by the training system for teachers in Italy (SOFIA) and also adapted to Croatian needs. Due to the situation, the course has moved online on the Teams platform - there are 8 webinars dedicated to the water cycle and environmental education with lessons live and with several ideas for creative labs to be carried out in the classroom. "
Sabina will pass the microphone to Anna Annibaldi, researcher and lecturer in Analytical Chemistry at the Polytechnic University of Marche - Department of Life and Environmental Sciences, who will tell us about the summer camp activities and the workshops they did with children last summer and how ”the children were "caught" by this experience and gave us an impetus for our course and the importance of getting clean water to our sea.”
Sabina will conclude the speech with the presentation of the training course and with the invitation to all teachers to follow us and to join in the lessons because our project concerns "two worlds that speak the same language of the sea and we use the same sea. "
