Published on 11/12/2019 (last modified 14/05/2020)

On 10th December 2019, Filippo Magni (IUAV) presented the first vulnerability and climate analysis of the territory of the Union Valley in the framework of WP5 to the technicians and directors of the municipalities responsible for urban planning process, sustainable development and Civil protection.

The meeting was an important training moment for municipal staff to illustrate the analysis methodology that starts from the use of climate data and land use maps, focused on the most specific climatic impacts such as landslides, floods and fires in the mountain part of the territory and heat waves and floods in urbanized areas. The methodology is a useful tool within the political and planning cycle for adaptation. During the meeting, ARPAE was also present, which illustrated a first hypothesis of stakeholder engagement strategy to accompany the key sectors involved at local level on planning for adaptation with specific communication and training actions.
