Some politicians from the Municipalities of the Savio Valley participated in the training course together with the administrators of the Municipality of Cervia. The course allowed politicians to go into detail on the strategic objectives of the project thanks to the presence of all the technical partners who illustrated the possibilities for developing climate plans within the cities. 
ARPAE presented the first climate analysis on a regional scale and the statistical forecasts of some significant climatological parameters with the horizon of the end of the century (according to two different IPCC scenarios) for the territories involved. IUAV and Thetis then illustrated what is meant by adaptation, mitigation, vulnerability and showed some examples of case studies in which adaptation measures were effectively implemented. 
The meeting was moderated by Alessandro Rossi of ANCI – Emilia Romagna Region and an ARPAE expert who tried to collect from the participants the priorities on adaptation also in social and economic terms, the fragility of the territory and any planning processes already underway. Another fundamental step in the ADRIADAPT planning process at the local level!
