The training course entitled "Adaptation to climate change in the activity of Local Authorities: strategies, opportunities, challenges to plan adaptation" involved the managers who deal with strategic planning, environment and land management, civil protection, together with colleagues from the Municipality of Cervia and Udine. The course included a part of project presentations conducted by the key Italian technical partners and in particular CMCC, IUAV and ARPAE.
An updated picture of the regional policies on climate and sustainable development were then presented by Alessandro Rossi of ANCI - Emilia Romagna Region (National agency of Italian municipalities) and some best practices were presented by Emiliano Vettore of the start-up GreenDEV, including the Municipal Plan of the Waters of the Municipality of Isola Vicentina.
In the second part of the morning, an operational working table was proposed to collect process and management criticalities on territorial and land management, detailed climatic challenges. The aim of the cooperative exercise was to start defining a common framework on adaptation and an analysis for future scenarios.
