Technical Meetings in Puglia region: Climate data, maps and indicators to support local planning
14/06/2026
The two online technical meetings organised by the Puglia Region – Department of Environment, Landscape and Urban Quality within the AdriaClimPlus project have successfully concluded.
Held on 9 and 12 June, the meetings provided an opportunity to present the Geoportal: a digital tool designed to make climate data, maps and indicators more accessible to local authorities, helping them better understand climate-related risks and support local planning decisions.
During the two sessions, Apulian municipalities explored the main features of the Geoportal, discussed practical examples of how climate data can be used, and exchanged views on how these tools can contribute to more targeted and effective adaptation actions.
The overall aim is to provide local territories with knowledge and operational tools to strengthen their capacity to prevent and manage the impacts of climate change, from heatwaves to extreme weather events.
A concrete step towards more informed, resilient and climate-aware local planning.
