ZADRA NOVA launches training on Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Spatial Planning
The Zadar County Development Agency ZADRA NOVA is organising a professional training programme within the framework of the AdriaClimPlus project.
The training, titled “Professional Training on Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Spatial Planning”, aims to strengthen knowledge and capacities related to climate adaptation, sustainable territorial planning, and resilience-building in coastal areas.
The programme will take place from 1 to 10 June 2026 through four sessions organised in a hybrid format, combining in-person participation in Zadar at the Centre for Creative Industries NOVAcija with online participation via MS Teams. Online attendance will be available throughout the entire training programme.
Training topics
Participants will explore key topics related to climate adaptation and spatial planning, including:
- Introduction to climate risks, impacts, legislation, and practical examples
- Climate scenarios, modelling, and sea-level rise
- Urban adaptation and energy transition
- Strategic planning and practical exercises
The training is intended for representatives of public administrations, institutions, experts, and professionals involved in spatial planning, sustainable development, environmental protection, and climate adaptation.
The AdriaClimPlus project supports the development of climate resilience across the Adriatic area by improving knowledge, tools, and adaptation strategies related to climate change impacts, particularly in coastal regions.
