Introductive Summer School in Lecce

16/06/2025

As part of the AdriaClimPlus project, the first summer school will be held this year, focusing on key climate change challenges and strategies for climate risk adaptation. The summer school will take place at CMCC headquarters in Lecce, Italy, from July 20 to 25, 2025.

The program, organised by the University of Bologna, will be introductory in nature and is intended for postgraduate and PhD students, with a focus on participants from Croatia and Italy. A total of 15 students will be selected to participate.

During the summer school, participants will:

  • Gain fundamental knowledge on climate change issues,
  • explore scientific insights and findings from the AdriaClimPlus project and related initiatives,
  • engage with real-world case studies from the Climate-ADAPT platform, showcasing existing climate adaptation practices and resilience-building efforts across Europe in response to both extreme weather and slow-onset climate events.

The aim of the summer school is to empower young researchers and professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to better understand climate risks and contribute to the development of sustainable, science-based adaptation strategies.
