Central Adriatic Ports Authority is a NUTS I authority, whose competence and extension are defined by the Ministerial decree n.169/2016. As Core port of the ScanMed corridor of TEN-T network, the port of Ancona plays a strategic role as main gateway connecting South-east Mediterrean countries with the Northern and Central Europe countries, for passenger and freight traffic.

The North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, ports of Venice and Chioggia (NASPA) is a public body in charge for planning, promoting and monitoring port operations, overseeing the supply of services of general interest, managing the State Maritime Property and planning the development of the port. NASPA activities span from developing the Port Community System, carrying out market analysis backing investments that increase its competitiveness, safety, security and environmental sustainability.

The Port Authority of Ploče, is organized in four sectors, which are divided in departments. The employees in the Port of Ploče Authority are very competent, high experienced in the port business including logistics, IT, environmental issues and other important fields. Port of Ploče has developed its own PCS system and has developed competences in the field of of bottleneck identification relevant for the project.

Port Authority Split was established pursuant to Decree of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on the establishment of Port Authority Split („Official Gazette“no. 45/97, 155/98 and 72/11, 114/14) for the purpose of managing, building and using the Port of Split. Port of Split, according its purpose is the port open for international public traffic, and according its size and importance, it’s ranked as the port of special (international) economic interest for the Republic of Croatia.

The Port Network of the Southern Adriatic Sea gathers together the Ports of Bari, Brindisi, Manfredonia, Barletta and Monopoli all along the west Adriatic coast of Italy. The five-port infrastructure includes 57 quays of approximately 10km of total quay length, all connected to the rail and road network and served by two major international airports.

Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure (MSTI) is a government body relevant for the implementation of project actions in the eligible area. Maritime Safety Directorate operates a wide spectrum of various maritime technical systems and equipment including highly sophisticated VTMIS system consisting of the national single window and SafeSeaNet, AIS, Radar, Meteo and other sensors.
