The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
The event will be an opportunity to discuss common challenges, and bring together politicians, decision-makers, experts and practitioners of cohesion policy.
This year the Italy-Croatia Programme will be a partner at this important annual event hosting a workshop focusing on the pollution of the seas entitled "What Interreg cooperation can do to reduce marine litter in European waters". The session will take place on 11th October 2022 from 14:30 to 16:00,
A workshop will be organized together with partners from different maritime programmes: Interreg Italy-France Maritime, Interreg South Baltic, Interreg Central Baltic and Interreg Italy-Albania-Montenegro and will illustrate the results and synergies of already implemented projects by sharing their main achievements and best practices to minimize plastic waste also in view of the forthcoming launch of the 2021-27 calls for proposals.
