At the School of OpenCohesion: the call is open also for the ASOC ETC Italy-Croatia monitoring during the 2022-2023 edition

Published on 21/09/2022 (last modified 23/09/2022)

The call for submission of applications is addressed at Italian schools

The notice of the Italian Ministry of Education addressed at Italian lower and upper secondary schools interested in participating in the 2022-2023 edition of the At the School of OpenCohesion has been published!

This project is part of the open government initiative on cohesion policies and promotes principles of active and aware citizenship and of the role of public intervention.

The project enables the students to enhance their digital skills, as well as the skills related to statistical analysis starting from the open data related to the projects financed by cohesion policy funds - both European and national. And - most importantly - the students during this learning process participate actively in the public life of their own territory in order to increase awareness and knowledge of public policies related to investments for the benefit of the local community.

The overall didactic offer ASOC 2022-2023 consists in 4 sub-categories, out of which one is dedicated to ASOC ETC - European Territorial Cooperation aimed at secondary schools who will be “twinned” with the schools of other Member States in carrying out civic monitoring.

The Programme Interreg Italy-Croatia was a first ETC Programme promoting and supporting in the edition 2021-2022 the civic monitoring of the students on the projects financed by the ETC Programmes. Infact the first edition of the ASOC ETC Italy-Croatia was implemented successfully and the final awarding event was celebrated in July in Trieste.

The Italian school institutes that would like to apply for ASOC ETC (or more class groups) to the tenth edition of ASOC, should consult the section dedicated to teachers on the At the School of OpenCohesion website.

All applications must be submitted within Monday 24th October 2022, 18.00 o’clock.

To find out more, consult the dedicated news available on the “At the school of OpenCohesion” website that reports a summary of the main elements contained in the Informative note of the Ministry of Education and in the annex "Project Vademecum" (all the materials are in Italian).

Note

If you are wondering and asking what about the Croatian schools?

The involvement of the Croatian schools to be “twinned” with the selected Italian schools will be announced through a dedicated notice on the website of the Ministry of the Regional Development and EU Funds (MRRFEU) that is the coordinating body for the ASOC in Croatia. As soon as the notice is published the Programme will support and disseminate via its channels.
